Dan Santat est un auteur et illustrateur américain né en 1975. Il est principalement connu pour son livre pour enfants The Adventures of Beekle : The Unimaginary Friend, qui a remporté la médaille Caldecott 2015. Il a également écrit The Guild of Geniuses et créé la série animée The Replacements sur Disney Channel. Il a reçu le National Book Award 2023 pour A First Time for Everything.
